The first bats were found from Tel Aviv

I found the first remote bats from Tel Aviv, Israel, there was about 30 of them. This is an Egyptian Rousette aka Egyptian Fruit Bat (Rousettus aegyptiacus) and the roost is located in the Tel Aviv University. The bats are free to come and go as they please so you will find them mainly during the day while they rest and not during the night when they forage.

The Egyptian Fruit Bat is a species of megabat that occurs in Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and the Indian subcontinent. It is one of three Rousettus species with an African-Malagasy range, though the only species of its genus found on continental Africa.

This is the species number 10.
